From October 7 to 22, Apple stores around the UK will offer hundreds of free sessions which are designed to help ordinary people “learn how to bring ideas to life” through coding.
There will also be a total of 6,000 events across 100 European Apple stores over the next year.
Events will focus on topics including “getting started with coding” and “how to program robots with Swift Playgrounds”, which will let you command robots using a simple coding app called Swift Playgrounds.
“We believe coding is the language of the future that everyone should have the chance to learn,’ said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
“We’ve built a range of innovative and free tools to make sure coding is fun and accessible to everyone.
“We know the incredible impact technology can have on lives and the opportunities it can bring to communities.”
