Titanfall 2 Now Advertised at GameStop

GameStop begins putting up advertisements for Titanfall 2, leading to speculation that the long anticipated sequel could have an official announcement soon.

At this point, it’s no secret that Titanfall 2 is on the way, but we are still waiting to see the first footage of the game. However, a full Titanfall 2 reveal could be on deck sooner than we think, as the world’s largest video game retailer, GameStop, has started advertising it in stores.

GameStop has started displaying Titanfall 2 placeholder cases on its shelves. Usually these display cases aren’t put up until a game has already been unveiled, and usually when it has a solid release window. This could be an indication that Titanfall 2 will be enjoying a comprehensive unveiling well before EA’s E3 2016 press conference rolls around this summer.

It’s possible that a Titanfall 2 trailer could come as soon as next month. March marks the two year anniversary of the release of the original Titanfall, which would be the perfect time for a trailer to drop. Furthermore, GameStop actually owns the gaming publication Game Informer, known for its monthly cover stories of in-development games, so there’s a possibility that Titanfall 2 could grace the cover of next month’s magazine.

It would make sense for Titanfall 2 to have its first trailer and concrete gameplay details drop soon. After all, Titanfall 2 merchandise is already in production, and the game has been widely known about for the past year. EA and Respawn clearly have big plans for the game, so it would behoove them to get the hype train rolling as soon as possible.

Even though the game has been publicly acknowledged for the past year, we actually know very little about it. Besides the fact that Titanfall 2 will have a single player campaign, Respawn has kept tight-lipped about what the highly anticipated sequel will entail. Hopefully a Titanfall 2 reveal trailer can shed some light on what else is in store for the game, and show gamers how it will improve upon the weaknesses of its predecessor while also expanding upon the original’s strengths.

Of course, all of this is just speculation at this point. EA and Respawn Entertainment wouldn’t show off Titanfall 2 until it was absolutely ready for the public to see, so a proper reveal might still come later in the year. However, with Titanfall 2 set to release by March 31st, 2017, there is a good chance that the game will be shown off within the next few months.

Do you think that we will see the first footage of Titanfall 2 soon? What do you expect from the game? Are you excited to play its single player campaign, or do you think you will spend most of your time with it in its multiplayer modes? Sound off in the comments below and leave us your thoughts on Titanfall 2.
