The rebranding of Red Hat Insights into Red Hat Lightspeed is a reflection of our next step in introducing management powered by AI to Red Hat platforms. This modification extends our commitment to integrating intelligence, predictive analytics, and risk management throughout the Red Hat portfolio and builds on the foundation we established with Red Hat Insights. Red Hat Insights has been a fundamental component of every Red Hat subscription for a number of years.

It is designed to assist you in managing your environments across Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat OpenShift, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Red Hat Lightspeed expands the reach of these capabilities with AI-driven insights that help you operate more efficiently and securely at scale. In addition, it continues to provide you with powerful predictive analytics that help you work faster, smarter, and with greater security.

How does this affect you?

Your Red Hat subscription still includes the features you already use, so you can access them using the same workflows and interfaces. By introducing AI-enhanced context, recommendations, and automation that make Red Hat Lightspeed more effective and adaptable to your environment, we are raising their level of intelligence and automation.

Red Hat Lightspeed iconography and naming have been updated, and the user interface has been changed to make AI-driven insights and recommendations easier to understand. Some areas of the console may also feature updated navigation to better organize Red Hat Lightspeed capabilities and make related services easier to access.

Through the latter half of 2025 and well into 2026, this transition will occur in stages. While continuously improving the experience’s performance, usability, and intelligence, our objective is to make the evolution seamless. By adding more context, automation, and insight to the tools and workflows you already use to manage your Red Hat environments, Red Hat Lightspeed directly builds on the foundation you already know.
