While the official launch is just a few days away, Gionee has teased the F6 and F205 bezel-less smartphones through its official Weibo account. The smartphone are expected to be two out of eight that will be launched at the November 26 event. Another points to the launch of the M7 Plus, S11, S11s, and Steel 3 smartphones at the same event.
The two teasers posted by Gionee doesn’t reveal any details about the F6 and F205 smartphones. However, both confirm the presence of a full-screen experience through the advanced display panels that would have minimal bezels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The formal teasers also reaffirm that the smartphones will be unveiled on November 26. Further, one of the teasers shows that the Chinese company will showcase the Gionee M7 Plus, S11, S11, and Steel 3 at its forthcoming event.
If we believe some rumours, the Gionee F205 will have a 5-inch display and will be powered by a MediaTek MT6739 chipset, coupled with a quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone is reported to have 16GB onboard storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, and 5-megapixel front camera. Also, it would run Android 7.1.1 Nougat on top of a custom skin.
Unlike the F205, a recent TENAA listing revealed that the Gionee F6 has a 5.7-inch HD+ display. It is spotted to have a MediaTek MT6739 chipset, paired with 1.4GHz CPU and up to 4GB of RAM. The smartphone has 32GB of onboard storage, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, dual-camera setup with 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel, and an 8-megapixel front camera sensor. Besides, the handset seems to have 2970mAh battery.
Some past reports suggest that the Gionee M7 Plus and M2018 will be the top-end models among the entire lineup. The smartphones are rumoured to have a leather back panel, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
Gionee is hosting the event to showcase eight smartphones in Shenzhen, China. The event will be live streamed in the country on Shenzhen Satellite TV.
