Google's New Programs Offer $200K in Cloud Credits and Expertise for AI Startups - startupstars.in

Startups focused on AI are influencing so many areas of our lives. They are reimagining collaboration, advancing healthcare innovation, and defining the future of education, among other things. We are pleased to announce the launch of the Google for Startups Cloud AI Accelerator, which will assist AI-focused startups in achieving rapid growth while adhering to ethical building practices. This program targets U.S. and Canadian startups developing AI solutions and builds on our recent AI First accelerators’ success. This equity-free program, which is run in conjunction with Google Cloud, gives startups using AI in their core product or service 10 weeks of hands-on mentorship and technical project support. Selected startups will interact with Google leaders and collaborate with a group of similar founders. In addition to providing founders with access to the most recent Google AI tools—such as Vertex AI and Gemini—the curriculum will also include workshops on technology and infrastructure, user experience (UX), product development, growth, sales, and leadership. A graduate of the Google for Startups accelerator, Scott Patterson is the chief technology officer of Modulo Bio, a neuroimmunology startup. Scott says the program helped streamline how they built their product. “This accelerator kicked off the buildout of a large language model (LLM) research platform and gave us the opportunity to collaborate with technical experts across LLMs, cloud and scientific research and development,” he explains. “Our mentors were extremely encouraging and supportive of both our fundraising efforts and technical work.” Another recent alum, the generative AI startup BrainLogic AI, doubled the number of users they had during the program, reaching 2 million. Nicolas Loeff, Chief Technology Officer, states, “Google Mentors shared their expertise generously and were crucial in enabling us to achieve six months of progress in only 10 weeks.” During the program, startups like Aptori, which aids users in locating flaws and risk in their code, were also able to develop and implement new product features in conjunction with Google Cloud and Gemini. The program will feature the selected startups at Cloud Next 2025 in April and culminates in June with a high profile Demo Day for potential partners, customers and investors. After graduation, startups join the Google for Startups Accelerator community, where they can connect with other founders, mentors, and investors who share their values and receive ongoing support. The deadline for applications is February 4, 2025. We encourage interested and eligible startups based in North America to apply and share with your networks.
