GeForce NOW Showcases Major Updates at the Game Developers Conference

NVIDIA Virtualizes Game Development With RTX PRO Server | NVIDIA Blog

At this year’s Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, GeForce NOW is demonstrating how cloud gaming continues to evolve. While developers gather to shape the future of gaming, the platform is already delivering new features that improve performance, game access, and overall player experience.

From enhanced game discovery to smoother virtual reality streaming and a wave of new titles arriving in the cloud, GeForce NOW is expanding its capabilities for gamers around the world.

Smarter Game Discovery for Subscribers

Finding games across multiple subscription services can sometimes feel confusing. To simplify the experience, GeForce NOW is introducing new in-app labels that highlight titles available through connected accounts such as Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft+.

Once players link their accounts, the app will display clear indicators directly on game tiles, showing which titles are accessible through their subscriptions. This update eliminates the guesswork and helps players instantly identify games they already own or can play through existing memberships.

Faster and Smoother Virtual Reality Streaming

Virtual reality gaming is also receiving a major performance upgrade. Supported VR devices will soon stream games at 90 frames per second (fps) instead of the previous 60 fps.

This improvement will deliver noticeably smoother and more responsive gameplay, enhancing immersion during intense moments — whether players are navigating futuristic cities or exploring distant alien worlds.

Devices benefiting from the upgrade include:

  • Apple Vision Pro

  • Meta Quest headsets

  • Pico VR devices

The higher frame rate will be available for GeForce NOW Ultimate members, further improving the quality of cloud-based VR experiences.

Expanded Account Linking Options

Account integration within GeForce NOW continues to expand. After introducing Gaijin single sign-on earlier this year, the platform is preparing to add GOG account linking and game library synchronization in the near future.

This update will allow players to connect additional game libraries and instantly access supported titles from their personal collections.

New Titles Arriving in the Cloud

The GeForce NOW library continues to grow, with several new releases joining the service.

Two upcoming titles launching directly in the cloud include:

  • CONTROL Resonant – Remedy Entertainment’s new action-adventure RPG set in a reality-bending version of Manhattan, where players wield supernatural abilities against cosmic threats.

  • Samson: A Tyndalston Story – A gritty action brawler developed by Liquid Swords, set in the dark urban environment of Tyndalston.

These titles will be available to stream at launch, giving players immediate access without downloads or installations.

Fortnite “Save the World” Returns

The cooperative adventure mode from Fortnite, originally released in 2017, is returning with a major update. On April 16, the “Save the World” campaign will become free to play, with pre-registration beginning on March 12.

The mode features:

  • Cooperative player-versus-environment gameplay

  • Base building and defense mechanics

  • Resource gathering and crafting

  • Four hero classes and more than 150 characters and weapons to upgrade

Players will battle waves of enemies known as Husks while building strongholds to defend against the Storm King. Although the mode isn’t available on mobile devices, it can be streamed through GeForce NOW, allowing players to jump straight into the action without waiting for updates.

Exclusive Rewards for GeForce NOW Members

Members also receive exclusive in-game bonuses. This week, GeForce NOW Ultimate members can claim the Advancing Gloom Soldier Skin for Battlefield 6.

The reward can be claimed through the GeForce NOW account portal and redeemed through EA’s website. Once unlocked, players can equip the skin and head into battle with a unique look designed for the frontlines.

The reward will be available until April 12, or while supplies last.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 Joins the Lineup

Another major highlight is the arrival of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the newest entry in the Monster Hunter Stories RPG series.

In this game, players take on the role of a Rider, bonding with powerful monsters and embarking on an adventure in the Monster Hunter universe. The game launches on GeForce NOW, allowing players to explore its world instantly across supported devices.

Additional New Releases

Several other titles are also joining the GeForce NOW library this week, including:

  • Warcraft I: Remastered

  • Warcraft II: Remastered

  • 1348 Ex Voto

  • John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando

  • Greedfall: The Dying World 1.0

Many of these games are optimized for GeForce RTX 5080 performance, ensuring high-quality graphics and smooth gameplay when streamed from the cloud.

Cloud Gaming Continues to Grow

With new features, stronger performance, and a steadily expanding game library, GeForce NOW continues to push cloud gaming forward. The platform’s updates showcased at GDC highlight a clear focus on accessibility, convenience, and high-performance gameplay.

For players, that means more games, smoother experiences, and the freedom to play across devices without the limitations of traditional hardware.
