Necessity Sense Fuses Military Inspiration With a Futuristic Twist

From the three brothers behind menswear retailer Ne.Sense, its sub-branch Necessity Sense just released its FW18 collection captured by photographer Fabien Montique at an abandoned military camp in Taiwan.

Titled “The Closed Window,” the range of clothing is inspired by the military experience of the youngest brother and designer, who’s time in the Taiwanese military was a self reflective period in closed quarters yet a window to enlightenment. In addition, it also honors Chinese vocalist Tom Chang, one of the major influencers for Taiwanese youth.

With the line incorporating a futuristic twist mixed with innovative fabrics and silver hardware details, a selection of jackets are inspired by formal military wear and Chinese heritage styling, as notable details include neon green highlights on dark staple colors alongside original illustrations by Taiwanese artist Yan Jenh Fah, in addition to iconic album artwork designs.
